Internalization: when change becomes part of us

What happens after everything breaks?

Transformation rarely arrives all at once.

It begins with a quiet Realisation that something can no longer remain the way it was. After the barriers of Obstruction and the disruption of Fracture, there is a different phase, less visible, but often more profound.

There is the moment when change stops Happening around us and begins happening within us.

Internalization explores this invisible process.

It asks what remains after certainty dissolves, and how new perspectives slowly become part of our identity.

The invisible work

Growth is often misunderstood as something dramatic. In reality, the most meaningful transformation happens quietly.

There are no clear milestones.

No applause.

Only countless small moments in which we decide, again and again, to see differently, think differently, and ultimately become different.

Internalization represents this silent reconstruction.
The fractures are no longer merely wounds.
They become pathways.

Nature never returns unchanged

Nature offers countless examples of this process.
A forest after a fire.
Rock reshaped by water.
A tree that grows around an obstacle instead of resisting it.
None of these return to what they once were. Instead, they integrate what happened. Human beings do the same. Our experiences do Not simply disappear, they become part of the way we perceive ourselves and the world.

A visual language of transformation

The textures, layered forms, and restrained color palette of Internalization are intentionally open. Rather than illustrating a specific event, they invite reflection. Every viewer brings their own experiences.
The artwork becomes less about a single story and more about recognizing a familiar feeling. Transformation is deeply personal, yet universally shared.

part of the awareness studies

Internalization belongs to the Awareness Studies, a series exploring the inner stages of personal transformation.
The yourney unfolds through three connected works:

Obstruction – becoming aware of unseen barriers.
Fracture – the moment established structures begin to break.
Internalization – integrating change until it becomes part of who we are.

Each work stands independently, yet together they reveal a larger narrative about awareness, resilience, and growth.

living with reminders

Art has the ability to remain present long after the moment of viewing. A painting can become a quiet reminder. Not of who we were. But of who we are still becoming. Internalization invites viewers to return to that reminder every day. Because transformtion is rarely a destination.
it is a lifelong practice.
